Ho'okena Beach Park
Popular local beach is busy on weekends.
Drinking water, restrooms, showers, picnic tables,
and ample parking.
Kayak rentals, snack foods and drinks usually available.
This area was once a larger ancient fishing village.
Camping is allowed with permits. See page 2 for details.
Stay close to shore- be careful of currents.
NO LIFEGUARD. When storm waves are high, leave the water to the local boys.
Directions: Heading South on Hwy 11, the turn off is between mile markers 101 and 102, just past Ho'okena Elementary School. Follow Ho'okena Beach Road about 2 miles downhill.
At the bottom of the hill, turn left.
Short one lane drive to parking.
