Honaunau Bay / Two Step
Some of the best snorkeling in the state.
City of Refuge / Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Park
Located on the south side of the bay.
TIP: For park admission, clean restrooms & secure parking while you snorkel, park for $5 per car.
Toilets available, but NO DRINKING WATER or showers.
Small beach with calm water- fun for kids!

No water, food or drink vendors.
The bay is well known for dolphin encounters.
The "Two Step" Entry-
This the famous "2-step". Easy in and easy out.
The water is 3 to 30 meters deep and usually clear
to see to the bottom.
Safety- no lifeguards- bring a vest or boogie board.
If you swim far out- be sure you have the energy to swim back!

DIRECTIONS: From Highway 11, turn on Highway 160 at the Honaunau Post Office. Downhill 3 1/2 miles to the City of Refuge / Pu`uhonua o Honaunau.
